Whether aiming for competitive success or enjoying recreational sports, Tamborine Mountain College promotes a love for physical activity within a vibrant and inclusive environment. The sports provision at Tamborine Mountain College, includes three levels of participation.

Level One

Our inclusive internal sport program that allows students to choose from a variety of sports. The sporting groups in Secondary School are arranged with mixed genders and age groups and the focus is on fun, fitness, skill development and game play.

In the Primary School the sporting provision is based in year groups and all students participate in a wide variety of sports.

We have a vibrant House Competition and have three major carnivals annually:

  • Swimming
  • Cross Country
  • Athletics

Level Two

Beyond internal sport TMC participates in the Hinterland Independent Alliance (HIA) and over the course of the year we participate in sporting events against the Hills International College and The Kooralbyn International School.

Level Three

We are also a member of the Hinterland District Sports Association, the South Coast Regional Sports Association, the Queensland School Sport Association and students can qualify for the School Sport Australia National Championships through the provisions we have at TMC.

The College Equestrian Team has achieved success at both regional and State levels with students selected to compete at Nationals. The College participates in Interschool Queensland, which is the state branch of Equestrian Queensland. TMC was a finalist for the 2021 Interschool Queensland School of the Year Award.
