Our College

Principal's Welcome

Tamborine Mountain College is an independent and co-educational College for Pre-Prep to Yr 12, providing a complete campus with one culture. There are two classes per year level, with capped student numbers limiting spaces available. Teachers and staff have a close bond with our students. We offer student–centred learning in a caring, safe, family-like environment. We value the individual, and recognise and celebrate personal success and achievement.

At the College we offer quality, affordable education. We have established standards in areas of behaviour and uniform. Our students are polite, co-operative and respectful. College life provides many opportunities for students in extracurricular activities; including debating, public speaking, titration, competitive sport, school productions, snow trips, overseas trips and equestrian competitions.

The College is truly independent with no religious affiliation or instruction, however, moral and social expectations are reinforced in our school community through our “Values” program. Communication with our parents is important and we have a supportive and active Parents & Friends Association.

There are three sport houses which are named after our founding Board members – Kyle (blue), Walton (red) and Nicholls (gold). The “Melbourne Cup” named after the previous Principal, is the House Trophy that is competed for in Swimming, Cross-Country and Athletics.

Tamborine Mountain College has a spirit that is strengthened by the school song “Arrows of Tomorrow”, sung proudly each week by the students at assembly. “Victory & Valour” is the College motto and our two large bronze lions, thus named, stand as sentries at the administration building entrance to symbolise these noble pursuits. The names “Vic” and “Val” are assigned to the two classes per year level.

We believe the key to success is to enjoy what you are learning and to have the confidence to follow your dreams and desires.

I invite you to watch the annual TMC review videos to gain an insight into our College life.
