Term 4 Insider #3

05 December 2025

Celebrating a Fantastic Term 4
What a busy and exciting term it has been. In English our budding poets finished the term by creating some wonderful ballads about natural hazards. In Maths students wrapped up their data and chance unit and completed a review of some of the trickier number concepts to help prepare them for Year 6. In Science students concluded their fascinating study of weathering and erosion and explored real world solutions in our local area. They even proposed thoughtful ideas to help prevent erosion along our coastlines.

In HASS students completed their natural hazards unit with a focus on bushfires which helped them understand how bushfires are managed and the ways we prepare for them. In Technology students brought their Tinkercad boat designs to life using our 3D printer and then tested them to see if they could move on their own and float.

Outside the classroom we have been just as busy. We enjoyed a wonderful swimming carnival, awards night, primary disco, SRC soccer competition, Year 12 Guard of Honour and Year 6 Stairway to 7. What an amazing year we have had.

Secret Santa Celebrations in Year 5
This week, our classrooms were filled with joy and excitement as we celebrated our Secret Santa gift exchange and class parties! Students thoughtfully brought in gifts for one another, spreading kindness and holiday cheer. It was wonderful to see the smiles and gratitude as gifts were exchanged, creating a festive and heart-warming atmosphere.

The celebrations were a fantastic way to end the term, bringing everyone together to reflect on a great year and get into the holiday spirit. Well done to all our students for their thoughtfulness and participation!

Farewell to Our Year 5 Students
As the year comes to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to farewell our wonderful Year 5 students. It has been a joy to watch them grow and thrive throughout the year, and we wish them all the best as they return in 2025 as Year 6 .

We also extend our warmest wishes to all families for a safe and enjoyable holiday period. A reminder that students will return to school on Tuesday 27th January 2026.

Have a fantastic break, and we look forward to seeing everyone in the new year!
