TMC Raises $1,857.15 for Epilepsy Queensland
There are moments in a school community that truly capture its heart and this was one of them.
What began as a thoughtful, student-led idea by our Year 7 student Millie quickly grew into something far greater, uniting our entire College in a shared purpose, to raise awareness and funds for Epilepsy Queensland.
Our campus transformed into a vibrant sea of purple. Students and staff embraced the opportunity to step out of uniform, show their support, and contribute to a cause that impacts so many lives. The energy across the College was unmistakable, one of generosity, compassion, and collective spirit.
Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we are proud to share that $1,857.15 was raised. This remarkable result reflects not only the generosity of our families but also the willingness of our students to stand behind something meaningful and make a difference.
Adding to the excitement, our fundraising milestone brought with it a memorable moment of celebration, with Mrs Stevens, Mr Stevens, Mr O'Neill and our amazing College Captains, Jorgia and Jack, honouring their promise to be slimed, much to the delight of students! It was a joyful reminder that giving back can be both impactful and fun.
We extend our sincere thanks to every member of our College community who contributed, whether by wearing purple, making a donation, or simply encouraging others to get involved. Your support has helped raise both vital funds and awareness for those living with epilepsy.
Most importantly, we acknowledge and commend Millie for her leadership and desire to make a difference. Her efforts are a powerful example of the impact one person can have when they act with purpose and heart.
This is what defines our community, coming together, supporting one another, and striving to create positive change.
Go TMC!

TMC Selected for Prestigious SWELL Sculpture Festival 2026
Tamborine Mountain College is proud to announce an extraordinary achievement, we have been selected as one of only five schools to participate in the SWELL Sculpture Festival 2026 Invited Schools Program.
Following a competitive curatorial review process, TMC has been chosen to exhibit within the festival’s Kids Elements Area, a new and exciting initiative designed to showcase emerging creativity in a professional outdoor exhibition context. This recognition places our students alongside established contemporary artists at one of Australia’s most celebrated public art events.
Held along the stunning Currumbin Beach from 11-20 September 2026, SWELL Sculpture Festival attracts thousands of visitors each year, providing a powerful platform for artistic expression, storytelling and community connection. For our students, this is a rare and inspiring opportunity to step into the world of professional artists, to create, collaborate and share their work with a broad public audience.
This milestone achievement reflects the strength of TMC’s creative programs and our commitment to nurturing student voice, innovation and excellence.
A special acknowledgement goes to Mrs Olivier who made all of this happen, and is already working alongside our talented students to bring an exciting and ambitious concept to life. Her leadership and vision are helping to shape what promises to be a truly memorable exhibition.
As we begin this journey, we look forward to sharing behind-the-scenes insights and exclusive sneak peeks with our community. We also warmly encourage families to visit the festival in September to experience firsthand the creativity and impact of this remarkable event.
At TMC, we don’t just participate, we lead.
Placing TMC firmly at the forefront of creativity and opportunity, once again.

At Tamborine Mountain College, moments like this are part of everyday magic, where nature, curiosity and joy come together.

Primary Grandparents & Special Friend's Day 2026
All TMC grandparents are warmly invited to our biennial Grandparents or Special Friend's Day on Thursday, 2 April (the final day of Term 1 and the day before Good Friday).
If a grandparent is unable to attend, your child may invite one ‘special friend’ (for example, an aunty, uncle, family friend or parent). As our hall and classroom space is limited, we ask that only the invited grandparent/s or special friend attends this event.
If no one is able to attend, your child will be thoughtfully buddied up with another student so they can still fully participate in the day.
Please share the timetable below with your invited guests, noting the different arrival times for Prep – Year 2 and Year 3 – Year 6 visitors.
Timetable of events
9:00 am – Grandparent/s or special friends of Prep – Year 2 students arrive and are directed to the school hall
9:15 am – Easter Bonnet Parade (grandparents of Prep – Year 2 students only) This parade is for grandparents and special friends only. Teachers will take photos for parents to view later.
9:45 am – Classroom activities begin (Grandparents and special friends of Years 3 – 6 students should arrive at this time and proceed directly to classrooms)
10:30 am – Shared morning tea
11:00 am – Conclusion of the event
For morning tea, each child is asked to bring a plate of food to sharewith their grandparent or special friend. It is not compulsory, but children may also bring a picnic blanket if they wish. Families with multiple children are welcome to meet in the youngest child’s classroom for morning tea so they can sit together.
Please remember to advise your guests that TMC is a nut-free zone.

Some dreams start small...
Others start at 2½ years old in a Mummy & Me dance class. And for TMC’s very own Maharley, that dream is now taking centre stage… in the UNITED STATES! And we couldn’t be prouder of the incredible young performer Maharley is becoming.

At our service, we are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care. As part of this commitment, we have implemented the use of high-visibility yellow vests when transporting students between the College and the Early Learning Centre. This initiative has been introduced to further strengthen our child-safe practices during both before and after school care.
The use of these vests ensures that all students are easily identifiable, allowing educators to quickly confirm that every child is present and accounted for throughout the transition process. This added layer of visibility supports the safety and wellbeing of both students and staff while moving between locations.
These vests will be used during our peak pick-up and drop-off times as we walk to and from the service. By maintaining consistent safety practices across all transitions, we aim to provide a secure, well-managed, and supportive environment for every child in our care.
Our commitment remains focused on continuous improvement in child safety, ensuring that all students are supervised, supported, and protected at all times.
