At Tamborine Mountain College, our Equestrian Team represents dedication, partnership, lots of time in the arenas, muddy boots, proud families and the powerful bond between rider and horse.

In 2026, that journey is about to be taken to a whole new level.

School Locker - Loganholme Superstore will be closed on Monday, 23 March 2026, to complete our yearly stocktake. During this time, the store will not be accessible for pickups, deliveries, or onsite support. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, 24 March 2026.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we complete this essential process to ensure accurate inventory and continued service quality.

School pick-up and drop-off times can be busy, but ensuring the safety of our College community is paramount. Please take a moment to review these reminders to help keep our car park a safe space for everyone:

1. Respect all crossing staff directions
   Our crossing staff are there to keep children safe. Following their directions - even when it may feel inconvenient - ensures everyone’s safety. A short delay is always better than a potential accident.
2. Slow down
   The speed limit in the car park exists for a reason. Please drive slowly to the speed limit of 10 km/h.
3. Use the zebra crossings
   Please use designated pedestrian crossings. This keeps everyone safe and helps children develop safe habits.
4. 2-minute zone efficiency
   The pick-up and drop-off zone is for quick collection or drop off only. Please only enter when your child/ren are ready and waiting to minimise congestion and keep traffic flowing safely.
5. Extra awareness for larger vehicles
   If you are driving a larger vehicle such as an SUV or van, please take extra care when reversing or manoeuvring. Check carefully for children and pedestrians.
6. Tow bars and boot lids
   Please be mindful of tow bars and automatic boot lids, which can pose a risk to pedestrians or hit other cars if not used carefully.

Working together, we can ensure a safe, calm and respectful environment for all during these busy times.

Our Year 10 STEM students are currently designing and building mousetrap-powered race cars as part of their assessment. This hands-on project applies concepts of energy transfer, forces, and design thinking in a real-world context.

Students have been working in teams to develop, test, and refine their designs, experimenting with materials and construction techniques to improve performance. It has been great to see their creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills on display throughout the process.

We look forward to seeing their final designs in action!

The TMC students are stepping beyond the classroom and onto the stage, thanks to our brand new partnership with Queensland Theatre, giving young performers the chance to experience the full creative process behind professional theatre.

The initiative, known as The Scene Project, forms part of our TMC Drama Excellence Program and involves students from Years 7 to 12 working alongside teachers and industry professionals to interpret and perform a newly commissioned play.

It is so unique being the only school offering this on our mountain, the Tamborine Mountain News celebrated our amazing partnership with an article!

Each week in Physical Education at Tamborine Mountain College, the PE KIES Awards recognise students who demonstrate outstanding effort, teamwork and a positive attitude during their lessons.

These awards celebrate students who are willing to challenge themselves, encourage others and bring great energy to every activity, all important qualities when building confidence and a lifelong love of movement.

During Harmony Week, the ELC proudly celebrated inclusiveness, respect and a strong sense of belonging for all demonstrating kindness, one of our College values.  Children and educators wore orange and participated in a range of meaningful experiences to show their support. A highlight of the week was welcoming special visitors, Mr & Mrs Stevens who joined us in creating a collaborative display by adding their painted handprints. This vibrant display represents our shared commitment to ensuring everyone feels valued and that everybody belongs within our Tamborine Mountain College community.  

Children are developing a strong sense of connectedness to their world, as they explore and begin to understand the values, traditions and practices of families and communities within the wider world.

Our students continue to represent Tamborine Mountain College with great spirit through the HIA Netball competition, and it was wonderful to recognise several players for their efforts this week.

The Most Improved award celebrates students who have shown significant development in their skills and confidence across the season, while the Best & Fairest award recognises players who consistently demonstrate strong performance, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Over the past three weeks, our TMC campus has been buzzing with football fever! In celebration of the AFC Women's Asian Cup being held right here in Australia, we’ve been thrilled to host Football Queensland for an intensive United Girls Football workshop.

With one eye on spotting the next generation of Matildas, our students have been training under the guidance of elite state coaches. From technical skill-building and tactical drills to high-energy game-based activities, our girls have had an absolute ball developing their game.

We are so proud to support the pathway for women in sport. Who knows? The next green and gold jersey might just belong to a TMC student!
