Creating Spaces Where Childhood Happens: Celebrating Our Incredible Maintenance Crew
Because they don’t just fix things, they create places where childhood happens.
Over recent weeks, our incredible Maintenance Team has worked their magic, bringing our Primary Playground back to life and restoring it as a vibrant, welcoming space for our students to enjoy every day.
While a playground may simply look like equipment, pathways and gardens to some, we know it represents so much more. It is where friendships begin, confidence grows, imaginations run wild and countless childhood memories are created.
Behind every beautiful school is a team of dedicated people who work quietly behind the scenes to make the magic happen. Our Maintenance Crew takes enormous pride in caring for our campus, ensuring every space reflects the warmth, care and pride that makes Tamborine Mountain College so special.
We are incredibly grateful for the passion, skill and heart our Maintenance Team brings to TMC each and every day.
So, while we may be a little biased… we think our Maintenance Crew really is pretty special.
Thank you for turning ordinary spaces into extraordinary places and reminding us that the little things often create the biggest moments.
The TMC Way — caring for our community, one space at a time.

Early Learning News
OSHC Vacation Care – Growing Global Citizens
Our Vacation Care program was filled with fun, learning and opportunities for children to make a positive difference. This holiday, the children embraced our Global Citizens theme by working together to care for and improve our outdoor environment.
Through discussions, the children explored what it means to be a global citizen, looking after the world around us, taking responsibility for shared spaces, and contributing to their community. They enthusiastically rolled up their sleeves to help pull weeds from the side garden, collect rubbish around the yard, and remove excess sand that had built up around the cubby house, pathways and sandpit shelves. Their teamwork and sense of responsibility helped create a cleaner, safer and more welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy.
The holidays also included a range of engaging experiences, with children enjoying InventorsDay, creating and exploring their own ideas through STEM-inspired activities. They also loved our Sushi Making experience, learning about healthy food choices and trying new flavours, followed by a Subway Healthy Eating day where they discussed balanced meals while preparing and enjoying nutritious lunches together.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our wonderful and dedicated OSHC educators for the care, enthusiasm and commitment they bring to Vacation Care. Your creativity and support provide families with a safe, engaging and enjoyable holiday program.
We would also like to thank our families for their kind feedback. It has been a pleasure reading the lovely comments shared on Storypark, and we truly appreciate your ongoing support and encouragement.

Over the holiday break, Josh M (yr12) and Levi M (yr 10) both competed at the Australian Snowsports Interschool Championships Representing TMC. The event was held at Thredbo over a series of days and Josh and Levi, veteran snowsport competitors that they are, saw some amazing success. Josh, who competed in the Multiclass event, Alpine event and Ski Cross event was able to bring home the glory with Gold in all 3 events. Levi was similarly successful winning Gold in both the Boarder Cross and Alpine disciplines. Such amazing results can not go unrecognised and the TMC community as a whole, could not be prouder of the success that Josh and Levi have achieved.

Audrey-May – Queensland State Champion and Nationals Bound
A huge congratulations to Audrey-May, who delivered an extraordinary performance at the Queensland State Championships, rising to the top of one of the most competitive fields in the state.
Audrey-May achieved:
1st Overall – 90cm–1m Intermediate Showjumping Queensland State Champion Selected to represent Tamborine Mountain College at the Australian Interschool Championships in Werribee, Melbourne this September
To become a State Champion takes more than ability. It requires courage, discipline, determination and an incredible connection between rider and horse. Audrey-May demonstrated all of these qualities and more, proudly representing TMC with every ride.
The entire TMC community congratulates Audrey-May on this phenomenal achievement and looks forward to cheering her on as she takes on Australia’s best young riders at Nationals.

Harlow – A State Championships Debut to Remember
For Harlow, the Queensland Interschool State Championships marked her very first State-level competition, and what an incredible debut it was.
Representing TMC with pride, Harlow competed against some of the best young riders in Queensland and achieved outstanding results:
After an incredibly long day of competition, with the jumping round delayed until late afternoon, Harlow and her pony showed incredible resilience and determination to finish 8th in the jump round despite the challenging circumstances.
While results are always exciting, true success is measured by the courage to step into the arena, the resilience to keep going and the confidence built through every experience.
Harlow’s first State Championships was a wonderful achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of the passion, sportsmanship and dedication she continues to show.
With Nationals on the horizon, we can’t wait to see what comes next for this talented young rider.
William – A Remarkable First State Championships
One of our youngest TMC Equestrian Team members, William, proudly represented Tamborine Mountain College at his very first Queensland Interschool State Championships — and achieved an incredible result.
Competing in the Primary Preliminary Championship, William finished:
13th Overall – Primary Preliminary Championship
To compete at State level against some of Queensland’s best young riders is an achievement in itself, but to finish inside the top 15 at his first-ever State Championships is a truly outstanding accomplishment.
William showed incredible determination, confidence and sportsmanship throughout the competition, proving that age is no barrier when passion, commitment and courage are at the heart of the journey.
This is only the beginning of what promises to be an exciting equestrian future, and the entire TMC community is incredibly proud of William and his achievements.
Congratulations, William — your TMC Pride is cheering you on every stride of the way!
The success of Audrey-May, Harlow and William highlights the incredible talent within the Tamborine Mountain College Equestrian Team.
