Celebrating 30 Years of TMC – A Night to Remember
On behalf of Tamborine Mountain College, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for joining us at the 30 Year Anniversary Gala on Saturday evening.
What a truly special night it was filled with laughter, music, memories, and the wonderful spirit of our College community. Together we celebrated not just 30 years of TMC, but also the friendships, stories, and dreams that make our College so extraordinary.
Congratulations to all of our Prize Winners who shared in the excitement of over $25,000 worth of prizes (including the incredible $10,000 Invisalign Package thanks to Medland Orthodontics), the evening simply would not have been the same without our extremely generous and community minded Prize Sponsors.
Your support helped make this milestone celebration an unforgettable success. Thank you for being part of our story and for continuing to share in the journey of Tamborine Mountain College.
May the spark we lit Saturday night burn even brighter, as our wholesome and purposely small and mighty community of Tamborine Mountain College, continue to light up young minds for the next 30 years and beyond.
Let our Gala serve as a shining reminder of the light we each carry, and the brighter glow we create together!
Students Shine at Gala Performance
Upon arriving at Saturday's Gala for pre-dinner drinks, guests were serenaded with the music talents of Eden W, Faryn B, Liam S and Otis V. As their teacher, I was delighted to perform such an array of beautiful music alongside them, from solos to quartets, from jazz standards ("Fly Me to the Moon") to popular music ("Yellow" and "Hallelujah") and classics ("Vuelie" from Frozen). Their seamless performances and professionalism were admired by guests.
It's an absolute credit to them that they are among our best, most reliable performers while only in Yr 6 and Yr 7! They have such a bright future ahead of them, and I look forward to performing more beautiful music together in the years to come.

Tournament of Minds
On Sunday 24th August, two of our school teams proudly represented TMC in the Tournament of Minds competition at TSS.
Our first team competed in the Language and Literature division. Their challenge was inspired by Shaun Tan’s book Cicada, and through their creative performance they explored powerful themes of resilience and transformation. Their hard work and originality were recognised with Honours, which is an outstanding achievement. Congratulations to Liam CS, Ella H, Vivienne H, Hudson B, Remy E and Memphis S.
Our second team took part in the Arts division. Their play carried an important message about bringing peace and harmony to the world. Through drama, teamwork and imagination, they reminded us all how stories can inspire hope and unity. Well done to Elly D, Katinka v, Annabelle A, Mila D, Lily A and Anaya A.
Both teams showed amazing creativity, collaboration and courage in front of the judges and audience. We are so proud of the way they represented our school.
Thank you to Mrs Haskins who was a judge on the day, and also to Mrs Rebecca Smith and Mrs Sands for facilitating the teams.

Early Learning News
From the Early Learning Centre Director
The Early Learning Centre educators are so grateful for the kind well wishes we received this week as we celebrated Early Childhood Educators’ Day. The children in Pre-Prep and OSHC wrote delightful notes, coloured in pictures, and created thoughtful cards, which they hung on our little tree in the foyer.
We would also like to extend a big thank you for the lovely lunch provided by the College on Friday. What a wonderful community we are a part of!
