ELC Educators

Tamborine Mountain College is seeking passionate and experienced casual Early Learning Centre (ELC) Educators to deliver engaging, high-quality programs within our Early Learning & Child Care Centre (ELC).

At our College, we believe our kindergarten and Outside Hours School Care (OSHC) service should feel less like “care” and more like belonging — a place where children are known by name, inspired through play, nurtured through meaningful relationships, and excited to return each day.

Operating within the thriving rainforest community of Tamborine Mountain, our ELC provides long day care services from 6.30am to 6.00pm, 48 weeks of the year, and works in close partnership with the wider College community.

Responsibilities

This is a key position within our Early Learning Centre for a skilled and proactive child care professional. Working collaboratively with the ELC Director, our Educators play a vital role in delivering a safe, engaging and high-quality program that aligns with the National Quality Framework (NQF), My Time, Our Place (MTOP) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). 

Our ELC educators create a welcoming and inclusive environment where kindy and primary school aged children can relax, socialise, and participate in meaningful play-based experiences.

Requirements

  • ACECQA approved CERTIFICATE III level (or above) qualification
  • Proven experience in OSHC, early childhood, or school-age care settings
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their individuality and wellbeing
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children) 
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID012), CPR (HLTAID009), Emergency Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management qualifications as recognised by ACECQA (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Child Safety Training Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
