Our first week back with all students on campus is drawing to a close and it has been so wonderful to have the children back. Our staff remarked that it felt a little like the first day of Term 1 again, but this time there was no 'getting to know you' period. It feels like the children have come back to school re-energised and ready to learn. Our teachers and support staff have reviewed their teaching programs for the rest of term and are focused on ensuring that our students have covered the essential elements of the curriculum, heading into the mid-year break. Due to the excellent support of our staff, the children at TMC continued to study subjects from across the curriculum and are in as good a place as any student could be, given the disruptions to on-campus learning around the world. Our staff's years of experience and caring, individual attention translated well into home-based learning. All things being well, we hope to now remain learning at school, but feel safe in the certainty that if the government directed schools to work off site again, your child would again be supported and guided through these uncertain times.
Finally, I would like to reiterate that one of the most important health measures we have to keep TMC safe is to ensure that children do not come to school when they are unwell, even with mild symptoms. I know that many of our parents have already heeded this guidance and kept their children home with little cough and sniffles - this is appreciated by the staff, students and other families at TMC.
