NICHOLLS HOUSE!!
Congratulations to Nicholls House for winning the Melbourne Cup for Cross Country in 2022. This is Nicholls' first sporting win since 2016 when they took out Cross Country. Maybe this is the sign of a new era of Nicholls dominance? Time will tell. The next sports carnival is Athletics, being held over two days in Week 9 of this term.
NAPLAN is being held in Weeks 4 & 5 for students in Years 3, 5, 7 & 9. Please see the timetable below for a breakdown of when tests tests will be running. Please speak to Mr Stevens if you have any questions about NAPLAN 2022 - headofprimary@tmc.qld.edu.au.
Student leaders and staff were proud to represent the College at Monday's ANZAC Day parade and ceremony on the mountain. Congratulations to College Captain Lachlan Williams for delivering the Junior Address at the remembrance ceremony. The wet weather did not deter many of our families turning out to the event on the mountain, as well as other local parades. Thank you to the Secondary student leadership team, the Primary leaders and SRC, as well as students who performed in the marching band. Finally, congratulations to College student, Cy De Freitas, for his expert accordion playing during the service.
Emily Clarke in Year 12 proudly carried the Australian flag at the front of the ANZAC Day parade.

Mother's Day is fast approaching and your P&F have organised a wonderful Mother's Day stall being held next Wednesday, May 4. The P&F have sourced gifts from our local area and we are proud to support these businesses. The gifts are $5. Primary students are to bring money in a named envelope which they hand to their teacher at school. The Mother's Day stall is always popular and the children love picking out a gift.
It is with much excitement that we can again welcome Primary parents back to our assemblies! From next Monday, our assemblies will be held in the hall starting at 2:10pm. Parents traditionally sit in the back rows of the hall, but space can easily be made on floor level if you find the stairs a bit difficult.
There will of course be some Covid-safety considerations. As visitors, we will not need to check parental vaccination status, but anyone with Covid-19 symptoms will not be able to attend our assemblies while unwell. Thank you for your understanding and compliance with this.
