This week's Featured Image is the side of one of our newly-wrapped TMC buses. Three of our buses which service the mountain and down to the Gold Coast now feature full wraps, celebrating our beautiful school, wonderful students and location.
Each of the three buses have unique designs and are a great advertisement for the College. Give them a wave when you see them out on the road.
22/2/22 is a fantastic day to celebrate “Twosday” (yes, it’s on a Tuesday!). 22/2/22 is an ubiquitous palindrome date, but more importantly it is an opportunity to bring some fun into what has been a disrupted start to the school year. Students and staff are encouraged to wear a tutu (2,2) or something related to the number two. Students are to bring a $2 donation. Primary will allocate money raised to purchasing reading resources and the Secondary students are hoping to raise money this year for a new drink bottle refill station.
For the safety of all travelling on the school buses please take time to read the Code of Conduct below. Please communicate with your children about the appropriate behaviour expected whilst travelling on the school bus.
Please update your child's class on Flexischools to avoid any confusion at the Snackshop. As this is an external system, parents have to update details such as your child's class at the start of each school year.
Our staff will maintain the privacy of any child who tests positive, so please respect that they can not discuss private information with other families. The College does not identify if particular cases are in a VIC or VAL class, as all cohorts spend time together learning inside, eating and playing outside, as well as for privacy reasons. Specifying VIC or VAL could detrimentally reduce the awareness of the other class.
Given the current outbreak it is to be expected that cases will occur from time to time, and the staff at the College are following all guidelines to create the safest environment possible. As always, please monitor your child for any signs of the following and perform a PCR or RAT. If they have any of these symptoms, do not send them to school:

If you or anyone in your family tests positive please report this to us so we can record this information. Under the current Health Directive we must keep a record of any students who test positive or are isolating as a close contact.
Congratulations to Jordan and Holly Narcisi who have both been signed up as trainees at The Outpost Cafe in Canungra. Holly and Jordan will both complete a Certificate III in Hospitality while working at The Outpost. A Certificate III in Hospitality is a great opportunity to gain skills in the area but to also earn eight points towards to Queensland Certificate of Education.

Parents or guardians of all primary children, from Year 1 upwards, are to utilise the grassed space situated outside the Platypus (Prep) building at drop off and pick up times. For the safety of children and staff we require parents not to enter classrooms or go past the Platypus building. Teachers are happy to connect with parents however meetings are to be held by appointment only. We can offer phone or virtual meetings whenever needed.
