COVID-19 Procedures
The response to COVID-19 in Queensland has been worldclass, but we have recently seen the rise of this disease again in Victoria. It is important we all continue to follow these guidelines at school to minimise our risk:
- Parents are not permitted on campus, unless authorised, beyond the drop off point next to the Prep building
- Parents are not to mingle and socialise at the pick up point or in the car park after collecting their child. Please spend the minimum time needed on campus to collect your child
- Playgrounds are closed after school
- Parents must not enter the school grounds if they are unwell. If a parent feels unwell and needs to collect their child, they are to stay in their car in the car park and call the office for the child to be escorted to them
- Parents are to socially distance from other families while on campus and sanitise their hands before arriving
- Please ensure your child has healthy food to eat in their lunchbox and a full night's sleep - this will increase immune response
- Students are to bring refillable water bottles and avoid drinking directly from the bubblers. We will no longer be providing free single-use water bottles to students. The bubblers will be available for direct drinking if there is no other option
- We encourage the College community to get tested for COVID-19 if you are unwell
Finally, the most important step to take is to keep your child away from school if they are unwell. COVID-19 has proven to have many symptoms which are not consistent from person to person. If a child presents at school unwell they will be sent home.
Thank you all for your ongoing support to the College and each other by following these guidelines.
