Our 2023 Year 7 Cohort have arrived!
On Thursday we welcomed almost 60 students to our campus for the day to experience life in secondary school, and what a day!
After a tour of the school with their Year 7 Buddies, they built balloon powered cars in Science, painted like Van Gogh in Art and solved murder mysteries in Maths. They had a basketball session with our Sports Coordinator and then learnt about their exciting Year 7 camp planned for Week 3 in the new year.
We loved meeting our 22 new students from over 10 different primary schools. They were well looked after by our TMC Year 6 cohort and hopefully this is the start of new friendships that will last their whole school life.
We look forward to seeing them all again on Monday 23rd January in their TMC uniform and ready to start Secondary school life!
If you have questions about the transition program, “Stairway to Seven” at TMC, please get in contact with Helen Garnar (Year 7/8 Coordinator)

As we draw to the end of the year, your children may have grown out of their current uniform. The College would gratefully receive any uniform donations TMC families choose to make.
If you would like to donate any uniform please send it in with your child or drop it off to reception.

For world teachers day last week, the SRC opened a stall at lunch where students were given the opportunity to write Gratitude Cards for their teachers. The teachers were given them in appreciation for all of their hard work and dedication to us as students.
We would like to thank all of the effort the teachers put in to make our learning experience the best it can possible be!
A beautiful blue sky greeted our students at the pool today for the Primary swimming carnival. It was wonderful to see the biggest turnout of parents we have ever had at the pool. The crowd of parents and students clapped and cheered every race, and all competitors gave their best for their sporting house. The winning house and age champions will be announced next week.
Thank you to Ms Fletcher, Mr Stevens, Ms Power, the Primary staff and the senior students from Yr 11 who all helped to make it a great event.

Calling all TMC Ballers!! ~ Tamborine Mountain Basketball (TMB) is looking for some new Wolves to join us in 2023!! We currently have 15 boys teams (WOW!) and only 4 girls teams. But three of our four girls' teams will be in the finals this season!!!! To keep building on our success, it's imperative that we create an Under 11's girls team to be able to feed into our U13/U15/U17 programs. On the boys side, we have two U11s boys teams but most will be moving up to U13s next year which means we need a lot more U11s to make a NEW squad or two:-)
Register your EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: If you have a son or daughter that is going to turn 9 or 10 years old in 2023, please scan the QR code on the flyer or fill out our Expression of Interest form using this link https://forms.gle/fW61HRp2iECUEuBG6.
UNDER 13/U15/U17 TMC ATHLETES ~ Interested in playing basketball but not sure if you have what it takes? Fill out the 'Expression of Interest Form' above and then come down to our trials on Sunday, January 22nd at TMSHS (details will be on our FB page later in January). Even if you are new to the sport, you still might make a team. Don't be shy, give us a try! We'd also like to relaunch our Cub Ball U9's program sometime next year so kids that are going to be 7 or 8 in 2023 should also register their interest. We have a wonderful basketball community that believes in not just teaching basketball skills but life skills. Check us out!
