Report by Year 5 students: Annabelle Holmes, Emily Harding and Madison Cacciola.
It was so sad when year five camp had to be canceled. But then the teachers, Mr Hall and Mr Golden saved the day when they decided to have two camp days at school! It was so fun and enjoyable that time flew by all the excitement and joy year five had.
On the first day we made some awesome paper aeroplanes that had to be huge to win the prize! Everyone made such impressive paper aeroplanes. They all flew so well and so far… well I mean some went far.
We also had another day to do lots of fantastic camp activities. First off in the morning we made some spaghetti and marshmallow towers. They got judged by height and the tallest tower that had the marshmallow on top won, but the trick was it had to stay on the entire time. After that we had a marvelous fashion show, the twist was we made our clothes out of newspaper! We had some amazing contestants including Charlie , Archer, Ewen , Sophie , Dylan , Lachlan , Jimmy, Aiden and the Archies’ were the models for the fashion show! Judged by the famous Mrs Visser, who has judged most of the year 's fives' competitions. Dylan won this awesome fashion show. It was awesome to see all the teams participate and put on a show!
After the famous fashion show we had lunch, we served sandwiches/wraps with toppings of choice and fruit and chips for a side snack! We Also had some funky drinks (optional) cooked by some of the year five Vic students. Some time later we played awesome games! Like a scavenger hunt, and some hula hoop games, and a soccer and frisbee tournament.
After school we got some free time while some Year 5 students were making dinner! We had chicken nuggets (hand made with air fryers!) with chips, and some salad too. After that it was about time to go home. We all walked together to the car park and we headed home.
We would like to thank all the teachers on behalf of all of Year 5 that helped out in this event. It was very enjoyable and we can’t wait for other events coming up in the future. Also big Thank You for all the students that helped with the cooking, and Mrs Schonfisch for taking the time out of her day to go buy all the groceries and supplies for this lovely camp day!
5 vic camp at school!
Year 5 camp was very different. We did not get to go to a normal camp place. We had 2 free dress days and did lots of fun games. For example, we did a handball tortermant and Jimmy and Lucas won. We had an even better day because tayla’s mum brought in 52 cupcakes for morning tea. Then for dessert we made frozen yogurt for a few of the kids in year five who helped make the dinner and handed it out to everyone. Some kids helped make dinner and we had all sorts of drinks and food like for dinner we had chicken nuggets chips bread fruit and for the drinks fanta mountain dew pepsi coke lemonade.
