ArtsFest by Lily Parker

This weekend, on the 4th of September, from 11am- 5pm, Tamborine Mountain College’s annual ArtsFest is going ahead! However, this year, ArtsFest will be live and virtual, rather than last year’s ArtsFest which took place online.
ArtsFest will be an enjoyable and fun day for families, friends and the TMC community to visit the school and to take part in various free workshops and classes, look at all of the wonderful artwork from the students and so much more. On this wonderful day, there will be chances to get food from food trucks, join in Storytime and free art activities, watch performances by the band and dance group and have the opportunity to view TMC’s amazing visual art showcase.
Ms Radley, TMC’s Art Coordinator, has shared what some of the events will include. Tamara Armstrong, an award winning artist based on Tamborine Mountain will be directing the painting workshop, where people will have the opportunity to work with acrylic paints and boards. The African drumming workshop will be held on the basketball court, where visitors will get to learn how to drum African style. Finally, the Goat Track Theatre workshop will give participants the chance to learn improvisation skills.
TMC can’t wait to see how the day unfolds and are so excited to see everyone there! Please register your interest on the College's website.
