The Day for Daniel FUNraiser promotes awareness for child safety while raising funds for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. The Foundation works tirelessly to educate communities on child safety strategies and support victims of crime involving children. The Fun Run is set up at school as an obstacle course and when we last held the event in 2019 the children had a great time going through the different challenges.
Children who raise money are able to go in the Fun Run and will be eligible to earn prizes - please see the attached prize chart. For raising just $10, students will receive a reward for their effort. The more they raise, the better the reward!
All fundraising is completed online, so please create your child's profile at https://d4dfunraiser.com.au/. Share your child's fundraising link through your social media, email and even text. All donations are tax deductible. Remember, the money raised will help the Daniel Morcombe Foundation raise awareness, so please share your fundraising link far, wide and often!
This year the Foundation is hoping to raise $150,000, which will allow them to create new educational programs to keep kids safe. It also means that no child victim of crime will need to pay for counselling through the Foundation. This program can educate millions of Australian children, so we hope we can help them get there! If not, the money raised certainly won’t be wasted. In fact, $1,000 provides counselling for one young victim of crime, $2,000 - funds 20 schools with resources to help Keep Kids Safe and $25,000 funds the creation of one Australia’s Biggest Child Safety Lesson, which is free for everyone and educates children on relevant child safety.
Make sure you keep an eye on the website, as it will tell you when to order your prizes. If you have any questions, please call the FUNraiser team on 1800 386 786.
